UK ENIC Delegation Visits LVTC

From News Center (Text by Qin Huizhe, Teaching Affairs and Practical Training Administration Office) On the morning of August 23, 2023, Dr. Bai Yun, chief consultant of UK ENIC, and Li Huajie, UK ENIC China Chief Representative, visited LVTC’s training base and made a return visit on international professional standard evaluation and certification. Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC, as well as relevant leaders and key teachers from the Office of International Exchange, Teaching Affairs and Practical Training Administration Office, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and School of Automotive Engineering, attended the exchange symposium.

Wei Lin extended a warm welcome to the UK ENIC delegation, and introduced in detail the international development of LVTC, its achievements, and international professional standard evaluation and certification projects, and watched LVTC's promotional video. She said that LVTC attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation and hoped that with the joint efforts of both parties, the operation mechanism of the teaching management system and the school quality assurance mechanism will be improved through the certification projects and LVTC’s comprehensive governance ability will be upgraded, so as to lay a good foundation for LVTC to further improve its international education and build professional connotation while lifting its international level. Bai Yun expressed her congratulations to LVTC’s Intelligent Applied Technology of Construction Machinery Major that has officially passed the international professional standard evaluation and certification, reached the RQF and the EQF level 5, and obtained the international comparability certificate and international quality standard certificate. She also looks forward to that the Mechatronics Major will achieve results as soon as possible and to deepening cooperation with LVTC in various fields to jointly promote its high-quality international development.

At the meeting, Henry Huggett, Head of the Global Partnerships at UK ENIC, Jonathan Margetts, UK ENIC Vocational Education Scheme and Training Manager, and Li Huajie, UK ENIC China Chief Representative respectively made reports on "UK ENIC’s History, Development, and Achievements", "Relationship Between International Professional Standard Benchmarking and Evaluation Methods and Qualification Framework", and "Exploration and Practice of Chinese and Western TVET" and introduced the development background of global qualification recognition, the differences between Chinese and Western vocational colleges in terms of learning outcomes and quality assurance, and how to strengthen the construction of professional connotation and achieve high-quality development by benchmarking against international standards.
