LVTC held the 6th Traditional Ethnic Sports and Culture Festival

From News Center (Text and Photo by Pan Cong, Schools of General Education), "March 3rd" is a traditional festival of Yao, Dong, Miao, and other ethnic minorities in Guangxi. In order to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture and local folk culture, enhance national confidence and pride, and enrich the campus cultural life of LVTC teachers and students, from April 14 to 15, Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College held the Traditional Ethnic Sports and Culture Festival with the theme of "Inheriting Ethnic Sports Culture and Strengthening the Consciousness of Chinese National Community" at the track and field venues of Shewan Campus and Guantang Campus. Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC, attended the opening ceremony. The deans of the Secondary Schools and the students of the two campuses participated in the ceremony.

Wei Lin pointed out in his opening speech that this year is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The 6th Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College National Traditional Sports Culture Festival with the theme of "Inheriting Ethnic Sports Culture and Strengthening the Consciousness of Chinese National Community" is a concrete action to thoroughly implement the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on "promoting cultural self-confidence and self-improvement and creating a new glory of socialist culture". We should unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, vigorously carry forward the traditional culture and local folk culture of the Chinese nation, and inherit and carry forward the excellent traditions of the Chinese nation. We should also enhance our cultural confidence, national confidence and national pride, build a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, and show our students' spirit of love for the motherland, the people, and life, and pursuit for progress.

This year's "March 3rd" Traditional Ethnic Sports and Culture Festival has set up seven items, including Catching Flower Ball with Back Basket, Land Dragon Boat, Shuttlecock Relay Race, Iron Hoop Rolling, Board Shoes Racing, High-pole Flower Ball, and Walking on Stilts. The scene atmosphere was lively. After the game began, colorful hydrangea flew on the sports field, dry dragon boat ran, the red shuttlecock was passed, round iron ring rolled. The sounds of cheering, shouting, and cheering resounded through the campus, turning the whole competition field into a joyful ocean.

It is understood that the Traditional Ethnic Sports and Culture Festival is organized by the School of General Education. The activity fully demonstrated the good spiritual outlook of LVTC teachers and students, and further strengthened the spiritual civilization construction of LVTC. In the future, the School of General Education will continue to carefully plan campus ethnic cultural activities with various forms, rich connotations, extensive covering, and effective  effect, so as to take more solid steps to inherit and carry forward traditional ethnic culture.
